Dear Family

It's very cold out here, my boots are wet and I can not keep warm .

Some of my friends have passed away,. Im staying in the trenches to write to you.

All I can hear is guns firing and water splashing and screaming and commands from the captain.

On the boat to Gallipoli it was very, very wet because waves were very strong.

This may be the last time I can write to you. God bless
